Find Your Perfect Fit
The size guide below is based on the suggested design & wearing ease for this style. You can choose the size according to your desired finished garment measurements, blending between sizes as needed. And/or measure the printed patterns to make sure the dimensions are according to the desired fitting and adjust—if needed—before cutting the fabric. For best results, sew a test garment in a similar fabric to adjust your pattern.
Note: if using non-stretch fabrics, reference the approximate finished garment measurements chart to choose your size.

Very interesting method of construction
Indeed! This method of sewing is called flatlining, where each individual piece of lining is sewn to each piece of outer fabric before assembling the garment. We hope you are able to enjoy and learn from this approach of sewing the Ibiza Trousers!
Hello,I need to ask about measurements. I have waist 34,5 inches(90cm) and hips 40,5inches(97 cm) . Wit’s size I must choose? Thanks I really need you help
Hey there! Based on your measurements, I recommend blending between two sizes. You waist measurement corresponds with a 14 or 16 while your hip measurement corresponds with a size 10. What I recommend is drawing a line between the waistline of the size 14 pattern and the hipline of the size 10 pattern at the side seams of both. Make sure the line blends smoothly in between both sizes. You’ll want to do this on the front pants, back pants, and pocket pieces. For the waistband, just cut out the side 14.
Alternately, you could always just make the size 10 pants but without the darts. This will give you more room in the waist while keeping the hips the size you need them to be. I hope this helps! Let me know which method you choose <3
merci à vous ,ce modèle parait parfait, merci
De rien, profite bien!
Thanks for your advice, I will try it and come back with the results.
I really appreciate the detailed instructions on how to do a fly zipper!
Question – what are the differences between this pattern and the Liv pants?
Thank you for the feedback and for your question! While both the Ibiza Trousers and Liv Pants offer a wide-leg silhouette with front pintucks, the Ibiza Trousers are fully lined, which lends a more structured and polished finish, whereas the Liv Pants rely more on the fabric’s drape. You’ll find back darts on the Ibiza Trousers, along with a more defined, tailored closure encompassing a fly-front zipper, two sets of hook-and-eye pairings, and a flat button. The Ibiza Trousers have a slightly wider waistband at about 2″ that consists of one pattern piece, while the Liv Pants have a 1.75″ finished waistband width comprising three pattern pieces. Additionally, belt loops are featured on the Liv Pants.
it is possible to sew them without the lining ?
Yes! You can also make the Ibiza Trousers without the lining.
Ciao !bellissimo modello! E’ possibile utilizzare una stoffa che sia più aderente al corpo? Grazie!
Ciao! Thanks for your question about using a more form-fitting fabric for the Ibiza Trousers! This pattern was specifically designed for woven fabrics like those with a basic, basket, or twill weave, which give the trousers their intended relaxed fit. It has not been tested with knit or more form-fitting fabrics, and the pattern itself is cut with a relaxed fit, so it’s not intended to be form-fitting. If you’re looking for a more form-fitting style, we recommend trying our recently released Promenade Capri Pants Pattern!
Ciao!
Is this available in A0 format for projector pattern cutting?
Hello, our free sewing patterns are only available with all sizes in PDF format for A4 and letter-size printing.
What is the bottom leg opening width?
Hi! For the smallest size (00), the bottom leg opening is approximately 21.75 inches in circumference (10.875 inches flat). For the largest size (32), it’s about 39.25 inches in circumference (19.625 inches flat). Both measurements are approximated less the seam allowance, after sewing.
I am loving this pattern, and the construction of it. Mike, You are bringing pattern that are elegant and more refined , I truly appreciate that! Big thank you
I am happy to hear and hope you enjoy creating this beautiful pattern! Happy sewing 🙂
thank you Mike, today i found this website and your articles are structured in a way to give me what I need: quick overview and few pictures … great job
Thank you so much and I am very glad to hear! Happy sewing 🙂
Hi Mike! Can you offer pointers on turning the pants to tailored shorts?
Yes of course! The sewing process will remain the same, but you will have to cut the patterns of the pants before you begin. Depending on how long you want your shorts to be, you will cut across the patterns around the mid-thigh or knee area. Make sure to leave an extra 1/2″ or 1″ at the bottom for the hem seam allowance.
I can’t wrap my head around your pocket instructions. Can anyone point me to a good tutorial?
Hey Marla, the pockets in the Ibiza pants are really similar to the pockets in the Amherst Palazzo Pants. Check out that tutorial and see if it helps.

These are beautiful pants. Are the front pleats sewn down?
Hi Julie! Yes, the pin tucks in the front of the pants are sewn down in step 1 of the tutorial.
I don’t understand how the two pieces of the front panel are done. the line is an exposed french seam?. Thank you for sharing the instructions for this pattern!
Hey Mariana! The line on the front of the pants is called a pintuck. More detailed instructions on how to make a pintuck can be found in the instructions for the Perugia Peplum Blazer and Pants.
