The size guide below is based on the suggested design & wearing ease for this style. You can choose the size according to your desired finished garment measurements, blending between sizes as needed. Measure the printed patterns to make sure the dimensions are according to the desired fitting and adjust—if needed—before cutting the fabric. How To Sew the Islamorada Resort Set

Sew with a 1/2″ seam allowance for all seams unless otherwise specified.

Step 1 

SHOULDER SEAMS

Sew the front and back together at the shoulder seams.

Step 2

SIDE SEAMS

Sew the front and back together at the side seams.

Step 3

UPPER SLEEVE

Sew the upper sleeve together at the inseam.

Step 4

LOWER SLEEVE

Sew the lower sleeve together at the inseam.

Step 5

UPPER & LOWER SLEEVE

Sew the lower sleeve to the bottom of the upper sleeve.

(Align the inseams for perfect placement)

Step 6

ATTACH SLEEVES

Sew the sleeve cap around the armhole.

Step 7

FRONT CLOSURE

Sew the front drawstrings with 1/4″ seam allowance & turn them right side out.

Step 8

NECKLINE RUFFLE

Attach the neckline ruffle around the front & back necklines.

• Place the drawstrings in between the ruffle & the bodice.
• Sew the right side of the ruffle to the wrong side of the bodice.

Step 9

HEM

Finish all edges with a 1/4″ double-folded hem.

• Ruffle
• Sleeves
• Shirt bottom

Step 10

PANTS – FRONT

Sew the front pant pieces together at center front.

Step 11

PANTS – BACK

Sew the back pant pieces together at center back.

Step 12

PANTS – SIDE SEAMS

Sew the front and back of the pants together at the side seams.

Step 13

PANTS – INSEAM

Sew the front and back of the pants together along the inseam.

Step 14

CASING

Sew the sides of the casing together to create a loop.

Step 15

DRAWSTRING

Sew the drawstring together with 1/4″ seam allowance & turn right side out.

Step 16

ATTACH DRAWSTRING CASING

Sew the drawstring casing around the waistline of the pants.

Step 17

PANTS HEM

Sew the hem at the bottom of each pant leg.
